Realms & Worlds
Understanding how our server network is organized will help you navigate between different areas and make the most of your experience on BritsPVE.
What are Realms?β
π Understanding Realms
A realm is essentially a separate hub that connects multiple worlds together. Think of it as a network cluster that manages connections between servers.
Behind the scenes, we use a proxyβa system that routes your connection to the right server and allows you to seamlessly transfer between worlds. The proxy handles all the networking so you can move between worlds without reconnecting.
Due to our unexpected popularity (we never anticipated so many players on a PvE server!), our proxy reached its capacity. To handle the load, we split our servers into two separate realms. This is a temporary solution while we work on a more permanent fix.
Do Items Transfer Between Realms?β
β Yes! Your items are safe.
All realms share the same database, which means:
- Your inventory, gear, and resources transfer between realms
- Your XP, levels, and perks are the same everywhere
- Your RP (currency) is accessible on all realms
- Your base and storage remain where you built them (remains on the world within the Realm you built it on)
π Important Note
In the Rust server browser, Realm 1 and Realm 2 appear as two separate servers. You'll need to connect to the realm that contains the world you want to play on.
Want to find out when your server will wipe? Check out our Wipe Info page for the latest wipe schedule, and check Connection Info to see which realm hosts your favorite world & when the worlds restart.
Types of Worldsβ
Our server network includes three different types of worlds, each serving a unique purpose:
π Standard Worlds (W1 - W10)
These are the main playable worlds where you'll spend most of your time. Standard worlds are where the core Rust experience happens.
π Hub Worlds (H1, H2)
Hub worlds are social spaces that serve as gateways between different worlds. Think of them as central stations where players gather.
Note: Each realm has its own hub (H1 for Realm 1, H2 for Realm 2). You can only transfer between worlds within the same realm.
βοΈ Raid Worlds (R1 - R4)
Raid worlds are specialized combat zones designed for intense PvE challenges. This is where you'll find the most difficult content and best rewards.
Tip: Raid worlds are where you'll find the toughest challenges. Make sure you're well-prepared before entering!
Transferring Between Realmsβ
πͺ Inter-Realm Portal
Located in each hub world, the Inter-Realm Portal allows you to transfer between Realm 1 and Realm 2.
Simply approach the portal in your hub and interact with it. If you're in Realm 1, it will transfer you to Realm 2. If you're in Realm 2, it will transfer you to Realm 1. Your inventory and progress come with you!
